Many clients come to us saying “we need a website”. Our first question is always the same: what job should the website do? Bring in calls, present the company, or sell products directly? The answer changes the type of site, its cost and its timeline completely.

Landing page — one offer, one goal

A landing page is a single-page website. It presents one service or product and leads the visitor to one action: leave a request, call, or message you on Telegram.

A good fit when:

  • you are running ads (Instagram, Google, Yandex) and need to turn clicks into leads;
  • you want to test a new service or promotion quickly;
  • you sell a course, an event or a single product.

Speed is its strength. A landing page can go live in a few weeks, and every line of copy and design serves one goal. The downside: with only one page, you will get little organic traffic from search.

Corporate website — your company’s online office

A corporate website has several sections: services, projects, about, pricing, blog, contacts. Its job is to make a visitor conclude: “this company can be trusted”.

A good fit when:

  • you offer several services, and each deserves its own explanation;
  • you work with large clients, partners or government bodies — they check your website first;
  • you want steady, free traffic from Google.

Because every service has its own page, a corporate site ranks better in search. But it needs more copy, photos and case studies to fill — plan for that upfront.

Online store — a salesperson that never sleeps

An online store has a catalogue, a cart, checkout and payment. Customers pick a product and order it without calling you.

A good fit when:

  • you have many products with prices, colours and sizes;
  • you want to accept online payments via Click, Payme or Uzum;
  • you already deliver, or plan to.

An online store is the most complex type: it needs a product database, stock tracking, and integration with payment and delivery services. Launching and running it takes more time.

How to choose

Ask yourself three questions:

  1. What should a visitor do on the site? Leave a request — a landing page or corporate site. Buy — an online store.
  2. How many services or products do you have? One — start with a landing page. Many — a corporate site or a store.
  3. Where will visitors come from? Only from ads — a landing page is enough. If you also want Google traffic, you need a multi-page site.

If in doubt, start small. A good landing page brings leads fast and can later grow into a corporate site. The worst option is building a big site straight away that nobody keeps updated.

What every website needs

  • fast, comfortable experience on phones — most visitors come from mobile;
  • a visible phone number and a Telegram button;
  • a short, clear request form;
  • real photos and examples of your work;
  • basic SEO setup for Google and Yandex.
